Abba Dabba Do
Dark green leaves with a wavy gold margin on an upright shaped clump...sport of ''Sun Power''.
Abiqua Drinking Gourd
Large "blue" with very round and puckered leaves that are deeply cupped...probably the most deeply cupped of any hosta. It got it's name because the hybridizer's dog could drink from it on a rainy day. Great substance.
Addicted to Love
Arching, pointed grey-blue leaves with many large hanging flowers...acquired as kikutti white back form and imported from Japan in the 80's...not the same as 'Mikawa -no-Yuki which originally came from Japan as kikutii white back...interesting plant
Shiny yellow leaves are surrounded by a variable dark green border that is fairly wide...sport from 'Royal Standard'. Good grower with fragrant white flowers.
Rounded, dark-green leaves are nicely puckered on this 'Big Daddy' seedling...plant has been with the Fransen's for about 10 years and just too nice and reliable not to be named...
PP26755 Beautiful sport from 'Climax' with a very wide yellow border surrounding a green center...stunner when mature. Vigorous grower with great substance and holds up all season.
A non-registered seedling and part of Van Wade's American Indian Series...medium-sized blue-green hosta with heavily corrugated and cupped foliage. Pale purple flowers.
Outstanding new introduction from the Daltons with beautiful broad green leaves showing heavy veins and sporting outstanding pie-crusted edges (elegant tips) form a dramatic clump
Wide, deeply feathered yellow edged leaves adorn this low, flat mound that draws attention in the front of the border. The wavy, folded leaves yellow gives way to creamy-white as the season continues. Handles full sun in the north
Unique, shiny green leaves have leaf centers of a misty green and white variegation. Topped with lavender flowers. Vigorous grower that makes a dense clump with good substance.
Shiny green leaves held on very red petioles with the red reaching almost halfway into the center of the leaf...about as far as we have seen on any hosta with red petioles.
Jan van den Top's variegated sport of ‘Dancing Queen’ really stands out...beautiful ruffled chartreuse-yellow leaves have a dark green border that streaks to the center. Always in demand!!
Bob says this sport of 'Guacamole' is "close to perfect"! Yellowish-green leaves have a blue-green margin and the leaves are covered with a grayish-misty layer. Plant it in a bright spot where it gets good light and enjoy the fragrant flowers.
Large blue leaves are thick and surrounded by a wide creamy-white border. Vigorous grower that clumps up fast and makes an impressive clump.
Makes a huge clump of very large, rounded blue leaves that reach the size of giant platters and are held in an upright manner. Tremendous substance and good corrugation.
Dense clump of elongated green leaves with a yellow border that turns white later in the season. Attractive!
Grey-green leaves have pretty good substance and color to an uneven yellow and later white.
This fast grower makes a dense clump of very crinkled leaves that emerge a day-glo yellow that soon develops a light blue bloom over bright pale green. Red petioles topped with masses of scapes blooming in purple. Leaf texture and color are distinctly unique.
Arc de Triomphe
Large heart-shaped green leaves have a variable yellow border that turns white by the end of the season. Substance is good and leaf margins are quite wavy.
Intense blue-green leaves are held upright and create a low mound (12") with lots of "flare". Pointed leaves arrange themselves in a layered star-pattern and are folded and wavy.
Ron Livingston's famed 'Atom Smasher'... long golden-yellow blades with lots of ripples and genes that are easily passed on. Good grower and great for hybridizing as it is extremely fertile both ways. Lavender flowers produce red and yellow seed pods.
Heart-shaped yellow leaves are crinkled and have good substance on this hybrid of 'Golden Waffles'
